EPC Explained
The Government is complying with the Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD) with the introduction of the Energy Performance Certificate. The EPC shows a record of the energy efficiency levels and CO2 emissions of a building, by using a standard table from A to G (A being very efficient, G being very inefficient).
How an EPC Assessment is Carried Out?
An energy survey is performed by a qualified energy assessor who visits the property and examines key items within the premises such as loft insulation, domestic boiler, hot water tank, radiators, windows for double glazing, etc.
Once this information is obtained, it is then placed into a software programme which carries out and calculates the level of energy efficiency and CO2 emissions and advises us on the best measures in improving the energy performance of a property with an estimated cost and savings.

Good timekeeping, phoned in advance great Bit too quiet on getting to completion. Had to promt for feedback on the results he was getting, and any issues arising. After all as a hands on landlord I want to know and understand. I do realise that should the tester be confronted with problem wiring , they do not want to get into a confrontation with an irate landlord, but it is beneficial to explain to interested parties the problems and remedies AT THE TIME.
